Kyougokudou's friends

I believe this picture is from Shikiganai Scanlation group that scanned and translated Natsuhiko Kyougoku's works in manga (Aki Shimizu is the illustrator) to English language,
except for Mōryō no Hako (which is partially translated and currently there is no group takes over the scanlation and translation job).

Just want to introduce the four friends in the Kyougokudou series.

The one who sit is Akihiko Chuzenji aka Kyougokudou, which is a nickname taken from the name of his bookstore. He works mainly as a book seller, but has side jobs as a priest and exorcist.

Beside Kyougokudou is Tatsumi Sekiguchi, a timid person, super naive borderline for being a dumb. Actually he loves reading books like Kyougokudou too. He's a writer.

Behind Kyougokudou is Reijirou Enokizu, a senpai, one year older, super popular, smart, wealthy and his father is a former viscount. He has the ability to see other people's memories when he sees their faces. He uses the ability to help him solving cases as he is now working as a detective.

Beside Enokizu is Shujiro Kiba who works for police department. Enokizu has a nickname for him, "Kibashuu".

Four of them have been friends since high school. Except Akihiko, the rest had been participated in a war and fortunately made it alive.
Akihiko was studying religion at that time (he's a priest, an atheist priest though).
Akihiko and Tatsumi both have wife and live nearby.
Enokizu and Kibashuu both are currently single.

First greeting

I have been idle from writing for such a long time, I used to write on my blog ever since I was in high school but ever since I got into college, it seemed like I had no inspiration to write anymore. Because of that I deleted all of my blog accounts in blogspot, wordpress, tumblr. Only two accounts other than this one that I kept but they both are currently inactive.

Just recently, 4 days ago, I was introduced to Natsuhiko Kyogoku's work, a manga titled Ubume no Natsu or The Summer of the Ubume, actually it was based on the novel with the same name but for the manga the author worked with Aki Shimizu as the illustrator.

I really like the manga a lot! It was dark, deep, mysterious, thrilling and psychologically educating if that makes sense, it made me to use my brain a lot to think thorough in every chapter.

I really like Japanese culture, the folklore, history, manga and anime, like mostly everything. But I just can not read, write and speak the language, I only know few Japanese terms.
